Bareboat Versus Skippered Charter?
Which type of adventure is best for you?
Bareboat Charters are designed for experienced and licensed boating operators who are seeking an adventure that includes full operation of the 42' Nordic Tug in the rugged Alaskan ocean waters. Before we approve bareboat charters, we interview the Charterer to ensure a person with appropriate experience and licensing credentials will be onboard at all times to manage the operations, safety, and navigation of the vessel.
Skippered Charters allow guests to relax and enjoy the adventure under the operational supervision of a licensed and experienced Captain. We provide the Charterer with a list of qualified Skippers/Captains to choose from. The Charterer remains in charge of designing the route and the activities, while the Captain manages the boat's operations, safety, and navigation. Most guests prefer this option because all guests can participate in on and off-boat recreational activities while leaving the "driving" to a qualified professional.
